Ayresome Park

Stuart Roy Clarke from Homes of Football brilliantly captures Boro fans on the standing terraces of Ayresome Park in the 90’s watching the match. The stadium was designed by famous architect Archibald Leitch and was opened in 1903, it remained the home ground for Middlesbrough FC until they moved to the modern all seater Riverside Stadium in 1995. Two years later, the 26k capacity Ayresome Park stadium was demolished and replaced with housing.
