Chelsea 4 Liverpool 2

Back in 1997, Ruud Gullit’s Chelsea side performed a classic comeback in the FA Cup tie with Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on the road to Wembley. The Blues went on to lift the famous FA Cup for the second time in their history.

However, it wasn’t all going Chelsea’s way initially and Roy Evans Reds came out of the traps much quicker than the sluggish Blues and took a first half lead courtesy of goals from Robbie Fowler and Stan Collymore. The second half was a completely different story and the half time substitute Mark Hughes was off the mark within minutes of joining the play. Shortly after, Gianfranco Zola levelled the scores for the Chels making it all tied at 2-2 before fellow countryman stole the show with a quick fire brace to put the West London side through to the 5th Round of the Cup.
