The 1980 Football League Cup Final was contested between unfancied Wolverhampton Wanderers and Nottingham Forest at Wembley Stadium. The Champions of Europe and League Cup holders Nottingham Forest managed by Brian Clough, were the dominant team in English football at the time but a shock was in store!
