Back in 1994, former Spurs legend Glenn Hoddle managed his Chelsea side to victory over his former club in dramatic fashion at Stamford Bridge. Tottenham Hotspur took an early 2-0 lead after just 18 minutes courtesy of goals from Steve Sedgley and Jason Dozzell but the Blues fought back with goals from Mal Donaghy, Mark Stein and John Spencer to take a half-time lead at the interval.
The second half was equally as entertaining as Spurs we’re awarded two penalties which Andy Gray scored one and had the other saved making it 3-3. With just minutes on the clock, it was Chelsea’s turn to be awarded a spot kick and Mark Stein took it emphatically to give the Blues all three points in this classic encounter in front of 19,398 supporters. What a game!
