Billy Wright: Centurion

On 11 April 1959, England and Wolves captain Billy Wright became the first international player to become a centurion when he made his 100th appearance for England against Scotland at Wembley. He led the Three Lions to a 1-0 victory that day with Bobby Charlton scoring the only goal of the game.
